Records that document the written reference history of a student to be forwarded to potential employers or professional schools. Records may include credentials, release consent, reference letters, student teaching reports, professional program certificates, resumes, correspondence, and other related records.
Retain for three years after last request then dispose of.
Confidential destruction is required. Paper must be shredded, pulped, or incinerated; electronic records must be overwritten or the storage media physically destroyed. Deletion of information in computer files or on electronic storage media is not sufficient.
