Permission to Publish

Records that document a request to use information and material for publication. File may correspondence, photographs, and other related records.



Retention Period

Permanent retention for those agreements that led to publication of information or material. Retain agreements that did not led to publication for six years after date of agreement then dispose of.

Disposition Instructions

Confidential destruction is required. Paper must be shredded, pulped, or incinerated; electronic records must be overwritten or the storage media physically destroyed. Deletion of information in computer files or on electronic storage media is not sufficient.
