This series may include award guidelines, letters and agreements of gifts, copies of bequest instruments and wills from individuals or estates, financial statements and reports, correspondence; and other related records.
Permanent for letters and agreements of gift, copies of bequest instruments and wills from individuals or estates, correspondence; Retain all other records for seven years then dispose of.
Confidential destruction is required. Paper must be shredded, pulped, or incinerated; electronic records must be overwritten or the storage media physically destroyed. Deletion of information in computer files or on electronic storage media is not sufficient.
