Cooperation and Relations Records

Records that document the coordination and interaction between units for the cooperative administration of programs within Emory. Records are used for monitoring, planning, and coordinating research, instructional, or administrative programs of common concern. File may include copies of budget reports, activity reports, proposals, planning documents, agreements and memoranda of understanding, publicity and newspaper clippings, policy statements, working papers, correspondence, and other related records.

Retention Period

Permanent for proposals, planning documents, activity reports, policy statements, publicity; Retain all other records for current year plus three years then dispose of.

Disposition Instructions

Confidential destruction is required. Paper must be shredded, pulped, or incinerated; electronic records must be overwritten or the storage media physically destroyed. Deletion of information in computer files or on electronic storage media is not sufficient.
