Records that document Emory involvement with Volunteer programs within the community. File may include correspondence, contact information, volunteer project and other related record.

Retention Period

Confidential information should be restricted to only those with proper authorization. Permanent records include final project reports and essential correspondence; Retain all other records for current year plus two then dispose of.

Disposition Instructions

Confidential destruction is required. Paper must be shredded, pulped, or incinerated; electronic records must be overwritten or the storage media physically destroyed. Deletion of information in computer files or on electronic storage media is not sufficient.
