Admissions Records for Applicants Who Do Enroll (Accepted)

Records that document the application process for individuals seeking admission to the university. Records may include acceptance letters, advanced placement records, applications for admission, entrance exam reports, letters of recommendation, medical records, readmission records, recruitment materials, test scores, residency classification records, transcripts from other colleges, transcripts from high school, and related correspondence. Foreign student admissions records are included in this series.

Retention Period

Retain for five years after graduation or date of last attendance.

Disposition Instructions

Confidential destruction is required. Paper must be shredded, pulped, or incinerated; electronic records must be overwritten or the storage media physically destroyed. Deletion of information in computer files or on electronic storage media is not sufficient.
